Our History 

Susan has been an avid crafter since her early teens. Her interests include embroidery, quilting, bobbin-lace making, spinning, weaving, hand knitting and knitting by flat bed, and circular sock machine.

Susan's Needleworks began in 1995 as a retail outlet, but in order to allow Susan more time to teach the crafts she loves so much, she moved her product to the internet at Woolcombs.com as a mail order business. Over the years since, we've had quite a few different web site designs.

Andrew started wood turning to meet Susan's demand for lace making bobbins in the 1980s. As Susan added to her talents, her need for tools for use in other crafts grew. So whenever Susan had needed a quality tool, Andrew would get busy in his shop and produce just the right thing.
