Our Drumcarder Slicker allows you to remove fibre batts from a drumcarder cleanly and easily, without having to use a doffer to remove those annoying bits that like the hug the carding cloth surface. Using a slicker removes the need to dig into the card means no more damaged cloth surface. Slickers are hand-turned from Douglas Fir and hand assembled. Our standard size fits drums up to ten inches wide, but longer sizes can be made to order. TIP: Fine fibres can charge the slicker with static. Wipe a dryer sheet over both sides before use, this will stop the problem. Wipe every now and again. Wind dryer sheet in slicker when not in use.
