It is a multiple Kate. The pod is used to transfer the spun single from the spinning wheel bobbin onto a mini bobbin. Each of the mini bobbins can hold over two ounces of singles. This means you can spread the singles on many mini bobbins and have your plying from different parts of your spinning. This evens out the differences of the spun single (the first section of your single is always different to the last because you are much more relaxed) and makes a more even yarn. You could even make a six-ply using all the bobbins as once or as many plys as you want. The benefit is only having to use one spinning wheel bobbin and that bobbin will fit on the Jennie Plyer (most large bobbins will). We have designed the pod to fit most orifices which is the range of eight to eleven millimetres. If you have one of a different size, we need to know, in order to make a pod - if it can be done - to fit. There is no extra charge for this if we know beforehand. The Jennie Plyer comes with a carrying bag. Specification
