Our "Felters" are beautifully finished and comfortable felting tools. We have two styles: the Elegant style Felter is shaped, and held similar to, a pen; the Mushroom style Felter is grasped like a door-knob and held vertically to gain mechanical advantage. Both tools feature a nose made of solid brass, which not only makes the tool sturdy and attractive, but also gives it a weight that helps the needles to penetrate fibre more deeply with less effort.

The solid wood handles are hand-turned from a variety of exotic hard woods. The Felter body comprises of two parts: the nose unscrews from the body of the Felter to allow for the easy installation, removal, or reconfiguration of the needles.

The Felter can hold up to from one to five needles simultaneously, allowing you to arrange the needles into the configuration of your choice for the task at hand. Ten felting needles are included with each Felter.
